Week 1: Small signals

A small signal is one where the voltage or current variations are small enough that we can approximate the behavior of the circuit using linear models. A small signal may also refer to the situation where a relatively small amount of power is transferred, for instance because the signal is driving another stage of the circuit rather than driving an external load.
